My Thoughts on THRIVE by LeVel

Recently I tried the 3 day sample pack of the THRIVE Experience by Le-Vel. It is a 3 step system that claims to aid in healthy digestion, weight loss support, healthy joints and improved immune function. The 3 steps include capsules differentiated by men and women, a lifestyle mix, and a transdermal patch. I wanted to identify which symptoms were associated with which products so I switched up my thrive routine each of the days.

On day 1, I followed the directions sent with my 3 day sample pack: Take 1-2 capsules on an empty stomach. 20-30 minutes after you have taken your capsule, prepare your lifestyle mix and drink it. Finally, place 1 transdermal patch on your arm (or any area of lean tissue). I definitely had an energy buzz on day 1 but not in a jittery way. I just felt extra motivated and never hit the afternoon slump. I maintained a high level of energy throughout the day and never experienced an energy crash which was pleasantly surprising. Another big symptom I noticed is that my appetite was majorly supressed. I had NO cravings whatsoever and felt satiated much faster during meals.

On day 2, I took my capsule on an empty stomach and ate a normal breakfast 20-30 minutes later. I am not a shake girl (unless it's a milkshake!) so I decided to skip the shake today to see if it made a difference. After  breakfast, I put my transdermal patch on. I had the same energy on day 2 as I did on day 1 and my appetite continued to be supressed. I did not notice any difference by leaving out the lifstyle shake.

On day 3, I decided to try to identify whether the capsules or the patch were making an energy difference for me or if it was a combined effort. I chose to only use the patch on day 3. I ate breakfast like normal and placed my patch on. I felt more sluggish on day 3 than  I had the 2 previous days and definitely felt the afternoon slump after lunch. I still had a supressed appetite with no cravings.

Technically the sample I was sent was supposed to be a 3 day trial but since I had skipped my capsules on day 3 and noticed decreased energy, I decided to make a day 4 trying only the capsule. I took my capsule on an empty stomach and waited 20-30 minutes before eating breakfast. My energy levels were back up and unfortunately so was my appetitie. I was fighting my sweet tooth all day.

 Here are my thoughts:

Step One: Capsules

Capsules come in a men's and women's formula. They are to be taken on an empty stomach. I did notice an increase in energy that I attribute to the capsules since I noticed a dramatic change in energy when I stopped taking them. Each package has 2 capsules however I only took 1 capsule since they contain caffeine and I have minor caffeine sensitivity.

Step Two: Lifestyle Mix

The 3 day Thrive sample pack comes with vanilla flavored shake mix, however they do have 9 different flavors you can purchase. I am not a shake girl so I did not use it other than on day 1 and did not notice a difference when I did or did not use it. I will give them a thumbs up for having a wide variety of flavors

Step Three: Transdermal Patch

My favorite thing about the patch was that it supressed my appetite. This girl loves to eat so not having to fight cravings all day was awesome. The other thing I love about the patch is that it deliveres the ingredients with a slow release technology which helps with absorption. This is great because it delivers the nutrients straight to the bloodstream. Overall the patch was my favorite step with the only downside being some very minor skin irritation from the adhesive. I think if I would have moved the patch to a different location each day I would not have experienced any irritation.

The system is a bit pricey so I'm not sure I loved it enough to make the investment. I am considering purchasing just the patches which cost approximately $2.00 a day. While I did enjoy the energy increase from the capsules, I would prefer to increase my energy levels through going to bed early and getting regular excercise as opposed to the caffeine from the capsules. Over all I enjoyed my THRIVE experience.

Magnolia Table - Banana Bread

Hey, Y'all! I am so excited to share a collection of recipes with you that come from my very favorite cookbook: Magnolia Table by Joanna Gaines. Of course, all of her recipes are amazing, and it was difficult to narrow it down to a few favorites. Since I had some older bananas on hand, I thought we would go ahead and make use of those with some delicious banana bread, a classic comfort food. Joanna keeps the recipe simple yet delectable with easy to follow instructions. With a prep time of 15 minutes, the only difficult part is waiting 45-50 minutes for the bread to come out of the oven, however, the results are totally worth it! Ingredients: Nonstick baking spray, for the pan 8 tablespoons (1 stick) salted butter, melted and cooled, plus softened butter for serving 1 cup packed light brown sugar 2 large eggs, beaten 1-1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 4-5 very ripe bananas, mashed 1-3/4 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1...
