My Favorite Budget Friendly Beauty Products Going Into Spring

Now that the weather is starting to warm up I am getting SO excited for Spring and Summer and all the fun that comes with that time of the year. Like the changing of the seasons, my beauty routine changes as the warmer weather approaches and I'm so excited to share with yall a list of my favorite budget friendly beauty products to get you ready for warm, sunny days!

    1.  Wink Clique Lashes

These are not your average strip lashes that are difficult to apply and uncomfortable to wear. Wink Clique lashes are an affordable at-home version of classic lash extensions. With eight different styles to choose from, there is a lash to fit every eye shape. There is a bit of a learning curve to placing these correctly however the website has tutorials that were very helpful for a first time user. These lashes are meant to be worn for one week at a time but I have had mine on for up to 12 days at a time. You won't catch me without them now...I'm hooked!

2. Red Aspen Nail Dashes

There's nothing like a fresh, bright colored manicure to make you feel like Spring! If you're watching your budge like me, then you know trips to the salon come at a high price. At around $13 a set these nail dashes are a fun and affordable option. I love how many different nail shapes and colors are available. Application is fairly simple and I get approximately 10 days of wear out of each set. I am so hooked on these nail dashes that I became an ambassador with Red Aspen!

3. Quick Tan Instant Self Tanner Bronzing Spray

Y'all I have tried EVERY self tanner on the market. They turn me orange, they are streaky, and I can't stand the smell. I was about to give up all together on an at home tan until a friend introduced me to this. Quick Tan is a spray on formula with instant color pay off which is very helpful in making sure you get an even tan. You can instantly see where you have already sprayed and where you have missed. I purchased the medium to dark spray because I am a girl who loves to be tan. To my surprise I was not orange at all. I immediately had a light golden colored tan that developed into a beautiful deeper shade over the next six hours. Some of my favorite things about Quick Tan: dries quickly, easy to apply, natural (non orange) shade, very minimal "fake tan" smell. You can find this on Amazon and thank me later 😉

4. Drybar's Southern Belle Volume-Boosting Root Lifter

I'm a true Southern girl who loves some big hair so naturally I wanted to try this product the moment I saw it. Now this product is a litte more expensive but stay with me because the littlest bit goes a LONG way and this bottle will last you a good long time. It smells amazing and gives so much volume even on day 4 hair that would otherwise be weighed down by oils. Southern Belle Volume-Boosting root lifter can be purchase from your local Ulta Beauty.

Try out these affordable beauty products and tell me what you think in the comments! Happy Spring y'all!
xoxo,
Shea

Magnolia Table - Banana Bread

Hey, Y'all! I am so excited to share a collection of recipes with you that come from my very favorite cookbook: Magnolia Table by Joanna Gaines. Of course, all of her recipes are amazing, and it was difficult to narrow it down to a few favorites. Since I had some older bananas on hand, I thought we would go ahead and make use of those with some delicious banana bread, a classic comfort food. Joanna keeps the recipe simple yet delectable with easy to follow instructions. With a prep time of 15 minutes, the only difficult part is waiting 45-50 minutes for the bread to come out of the oven, however, the results are totally worth it! Ingredients: Nonstick baking spray, for the pan 8 tablespoons (1 stick) salted butter, melted and cooled, plus softened butter for serving 1 cup packed light brown sugar 2 large eggs, beaten 1-1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 4-5 very ripe bananas, mashed 1-3/4 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1...

DIY: Coasters and Home Decor

Hey, y'all! I've got some fun DIY projects to share with you today. Since most of us have been spending lots of time at home during this Covid-19 pandemic, here are some fun little projects to help keep you busy and spruce up your home! These projects are fairly inexpensive to create and easy to personalize. We will be making coasters and decorations that you can either set out or hang on the wall. Both projects require the same basic supplies and follow very similar procedures to create. Supplies for Coasters: 4-   4x4  square tiles ( I got mine at Home Depot for $0.16 a tile.) Mod Podge Foam brushes Polyurethane (which can also be found at Home Depot) Images to place on top of the tiles Cork Supplies for Home Decor: Piece of wood Mod Podge Foam Brushes Image to place on top of the wood I love the idea of making coasters because they can be such a fun item to personalize to show your sense of style. Coasters are great to have on hand, esp...
